Qaly@Beersel is looking, for its residential care and sheltered housing complex in Alsemberg, to recruit a chef/kitchen assistant (m/f) who can act as an ambassador for the Qaly philosophy. The Qaly residential care and sheltered housing complex aims to provide a comfortable, luxury, ergonomic and safe living environment for senior citizens, with plenty of residential care rooms, retirement apartments and the highest level of services.

Chef/kitchen assistant (m/f)

You will prepare tasty, nutritionally-balanced meals working in a team led by the chef/head chef. The role involves working in both the main kitchen and in the kitchen of the Brasserie.
  • preparing tasty meals; 
  • your role is primarily as a chef and you will help in the preparation of meals
  • implementing the necessary general and specific hygiene in the kitchen in compliance with applicable legislation (in accordance with the HACCP regulations manual)
  • ensuring correct portioning and ensuring high-quality distribution and presentation of the meals
  • carrying out work in the kitchen, as well as maintaining the kitchen and the built-in facilities
  • correctly tracking deliveries when the kitchen manager is absent
  • ensuring smooth and friendly service during meals
  • clearing up after meals and ensuring general cleanliness and tidiness of the dining room
  • washing up all kitchen equipment
  • helping with larger activities
  • administrative duties
